I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC have extended the contract of Cameroon defender Aminou Bouba for the upcoming 2022/23 season.
The 31-year-old centre-back is an experienced player, who has plied his trade in Cameroon, Tunisia, Algeria, Guinea, and Saudi Arabia. He has also represented the Cameroon National team and the under-20 team.
Born in Maroau in Cameroon, Bouba started his professional football career at Coton Sport de Garoua at the age of 20. Within three years, he moved to Tunisian club Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
Then he moved to the Algerian league (CS Constantine) and later played in Saudi Arabian clubs – Al-Khaleej, Al-Ettifaq, and Al-Tai. He moved back to his country Cameroon to play for Bandjoun and last year played in Guinea for Horoya AC.
Aminou Bouba arrived to sign for Gokulam Kerala FC last season and was a key element of the club defending their I-League title.
Aminou Bouba after his contract extension said, “I want to create history with Gokulam (Kerala) in the coming years. I want to play in Malabar and lift trophies in front of home fans.”
