Gokulam Kerala FC organize The Grand Battalia Convene – Fan meet!

Gokulam Kerala FC organized “The Grand Battalia Convene – Fan meet” on Sunday, September 4 in the EMS Corporation Stadium in Thrissur, the home stadium of the club.

The club invited the fans and new members of the club to the stadium to discuss about the future plans of the club with the supporters. The fans interacted with the club management and the players, discussed and raised questions on various subjects related to the development of the club. Both men’s and the women’s team squad with their respective coaching staffs, and more than 70 fans from various locations attended the event.

The event started with the introduction of players to the fans and laying out the objectives of the club to the supporters. Head coach Richard Towa addressed the fans and asked the fans to expect good, attractive football in the season. “Our aim is to retain the title, we have recruited the best players from around the world and we all know the talent we have in the local players. You can expect us to play good, attractive football this season.”

When asked about the experience and expectations from the foreign contingent of the men’s team, “We have top talents in the squad and I enjoy playing with my teammates. This is a new experience for me playing in India and I hope that we perform well this season,” said the Brazilian midfielder Everton Kaka.

The fans also asked about the team development to other players, and various other questions to the local players Arjun Jayaraj, Thahir Zaman and I-league winning players James Kithan, Ronald and Benneston.

Addressing the questions directed to the women’s team, the Kerala Women’s League captain Manju said, “We have a great squad this season capable of winning the KWL and retaining the Indian Women’s League title. With top foreign players, the squad is improving collectively.”
