It was a good start for the I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC with a 7-0 win over Khidderpore Sporting Club in the IFA Shield in Kolkata.
The goals came flying as Khidderpore Sporting Club struggled to lock their defence of their own.
It all started with an own goal from Nitesh Hazra in the 5th minute and then it followed by further goals by Abhijit K (55′), Ronald Singh(59′,68′), Rahim Osumanu(71′,73′) and Beneston Barreto (86′) while on the other hand Khidderpore SC failed to break the strong Gokulam Kerala defence as they lose the game 0-7.
The local fans will be disappointed with the result but the Kerala fans surely have something to cheer as they have made a very good start in the new edition of IFA Shield.
