Gokulam Kerala FC sign Indian winger Soumya Guguloth!

Gokulam Kerala FC Women’s team have signed Indian team winger Soumya Guguloth for the upcoming season.

The 20-year-old winger from Telangana has been with the Indian under-17, under-19 teams and made her senior India debut last year. She was the captain of the under-17 Indian team that participated in the BRICS Tournament.

Soumya is a speedy player and is also known for her knack to score goals. She has been impressed with the senior Indian team and is considered a prospect.

“I am glad to be with the Gokulam Kerala FC. It is a great opportunity for me to take part in the maiden AFC Women’s Club Competition, and the IWL with the team. I am looking forward to joining the team camp going to be held in Kozhikode,” said Soumya.

“Soumya is a talented player, who can be deployed on both the wings and also as a striker. We are building a strong team for the AFC Club Competition and IWL. We hope she can excel in Gokulam colors,” said Priya PV, the head coach of Gokulam Kerala FC.

“We are concentrating more on young players and building a good team for the IWL also. For players like Soumya, this will be a great opportunity to showcase their ability in an international competition. We wish her all the best,” said VC Praveen, the president of Gokulam Kerala FC.
