Kuwait took a step forward in women’s futsal development following the conclusion of the AFC Futsal Level 1 course in the capital city recently.
Kuwait Football Association (KFA) Head of Women’s department Fatima Masoud Hayad, who opened the seven-day course, said, “Education and developing coaches are a vital part in the development of women’s futsal, and we are excited to have such a good group joining our journey.”
“Good luck to everyone of you and we hope to work together by assisting coaches in the league or by leading grassroots festivals.”
The 15 participants were led by instructor Shahrzad Mozafar who expressed her gratitude in being a part of the first futsal coaching course in Kuwait, saying, “This course is the first futsal coaching course ever to be held in your country for women, where you will go on to be the pioneers in building the foundation.”
“The KFA has a good strategy in developing women’s futsal, and as coaches, you have an important role in developing and advancing these objectives.”
