To provide youth players diverse match experience and spread the message of Youth and grassroots development, Guwahati City FC (GCFC) Youth teams will tour Upper Assam from December 24 where they will play some exhibition matches against select academies of the area.
The tour which will be hosted by Duliajan Football Coaching Centre in association with Oil India Limited, Duliajan, will also focus on expanding the All India Football Federation’s Golden Baby League project in Upper Assam as GCFC has already conducted two successful seasons of the state’s first ever Golden Baby League through the ‘Greater Guwahati Baby League’ in association with Sportscraft Management.
Guwahati City FC is planning to conduct Golden Baby Leagues in various part of Assam in association with local clubs and academies to boost the youth football structure in the state with support from of the Assam Football Association. The Guwahati City FC Under-10, U-13 and U-16 teams will face Duliajan Football Coaching Center, Nahakatia Football Academy, Kakopather Football Coaching Centre and Namrup Town Club Football Academy on the tour where Foundation for Education Sports and Health (FESH) and International School, Nalapara will be the partners. All the matches will be streamed live on Sportrecs.
