In the second webinar, FIFA’s Chief Women’s football officer Serai Bareman was the guest.
She shared FIFA’s Vision 2020-2023. Which is to accelerate the growth of Womens Football.
The FIFA Womens football strategy had five specific pillars :
1. Develop & Grow,
2. Showcase the game
3. Communicate & Commercialise,
4. Govern & Lead,
5. Educate & Empower.
FIFA have a target of 60 million girls playing football globally by 2026.
She then answered various questions from the audience pertaining to funds allocation, women being added to FIFA CRS, professionalism in women’s football and FIFA U17 legacy plans.
She ended with a resounding message on being positive in these difficult Carona times and generally with women’s football. She wants all stakeholders to show the positive side of womens football to help it grow.
