Young goalkeeper Tim Goller, who has been at the Hertha BSC since he was 13, has signed his first professional contract on his 18th birthday, which will run until summer2025.
“Tim has shown that he’s one of our most talented youngsters in recent years with his consistent performances. His time with the first team in Florida and his U23s debut against Jena just underlined his excellent progress,” commented Hertha BSC sporting director Fredi Bobic on Thursday, January 26.
The Berlin-born goalkeeper has been in the academy since 2017 and was first-choice goalkeeper for the U-17s last season. They reached the semifinals of the German U-17 Championship after winning their regional division.
After travelling with the first team to Florida for the winter training camp and playing in a friendly for the first time earlier this month, he made his debut for the Hertha BSC U-23s in the Regionalliga Nordost last Sunday – and kept a clean sheet against FC Carl Zeiss Jena.
