In his welcome speech, the IFA secretary said that the CFL trophy of the league carries the identity and tradition of the leagues of different countries of the world. This time the trophy will carry the distinctive identity of the Kolkata league.

Representatives of Aditya Group, RT Solutions, Eureka, JIS and Krimz, the other sponsors of the event, also welcomed the legendary footballer.
Apart from the secretary, IFA was represented by vice-presidents Saurabh Pal, Swarup Biswas and Biswajit Bhaduri, joint secretaries Sufal Ranjan Giri, Subhashis Sarkar and Rakesh Jhan, BOA president Swapan Banerjee.
Representatives of Mohun Bagan Super Giants and Emami East Bengal FC as well as representatives of Mohammedan Sporting Club, members of the IFA Governing Body were present at the event.
