The Indian Football Association (West Bengal) have named Ranjan Bhattacharya as the West Bengal senior men’s head coach for the Santosh Trophy, while Dola Mukherjee would coach the West Bengal senior women’s team in the National Football Championships.
This decision was taken in a meeting of the IFA standing coaches committee under chairman Jamshed Nassiri with members Prasanta Banerjee, Syed Rahim Nabi, Gouranga Banerjee and Arun Ghosh also present.
While the men’s team would have to play the East Zone qualifiers of the National Football Championships for the Santosh Trophy, the women’s team would play directly in the National Women’s Football Championships.
