Inaugural AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme 2024 gets underway!

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) launched the first edition of the AFC Knowledge Sharing Programme 2024 on Tuesday, as it continues to maximise the capabilities of its Member Associations (MAs) and Regional Associations (RAs).

The initiative, which replaces the AFC Internship programme, will see one candidate each from the Palestine Football Association (PFA), Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) and Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) undergo an intensive training period while being guided by some of the most renowned experts in football governance.

The month-long programme is designed with the particular aim of helping the candidates gain insights into current best practices of football governance, administration and day-to-day operations of the AFC’s MA Division, thus equipping them with all the necessary tools to hone their skills as future leaders of Asian football.

Upon completion of the programme, the graduates are expected to impart their knowledge to their respective organisations and assist them in implementing and refurbishing policies wherever necessary for the overall enhancement of football on the Continent.

The programme was revamped to place more emphasis on a targeted approach to training candidates in their respective areas of expertise and further underlines the AFC’s Vision and Mission of cementing its position as a leading Confederation and making football the number one sport on the Continent.

The Knowledge Sharing Programme is open to all employees of the AFC’s MAs and RAs. Moreover, candidates from the AFC Academic Centre of Excellence who have graduated with “distinction” will also have the opportunity to be part of the programme.
