India U-17 World Cup team defeat AIFF U-16 team in a practice match!

The Indian U-17 World Cup Team defeated the AIFF U-16 Team 5-0 in a practice match yesterday, March 28 at the Utorda Ground in Goa.

The Indian U-17 Colts dominated proceedings for much of the match and proved superior to their opponents, dictating the tempo of the game. However it was an own goal which opened the goal scoring tally for the Indian Colts as in the 33rd minute defender Ricky bundled the ball into his own net.

It took time for the Colts to score their second goal, but once they did in the 58th minute when Abu’s clean contact with a Saurabh cross went in, the World Cup squad upped their ante and blasted another three goals.

In the 65th minute, Joseph scored directly from a free-kick after his attempt took a wicked deflection and ended in the back of the net to make it 3-0 for the Indian U17 World Cup Team.

Four minute later Hrishi slotted the ball home to make it 4-0. In the 82nd minute Abu added more gloss to the scoreline as his shot from inside the box went in to make it 5-0. The full-time scoreline read the same as the Colts registered an easy win.
