Indian origin Sarpreet Singh of New Zealand signs for Bayern Munich II!

Bundesliga giants FC Bayern Munich have announced the signing of New Zealand international Sarpreet Singh from A-League side Wellington Phoenix FC.

The 20-year-old Indian origin attacking midfielder has signed a contract with the FC Bayern Munich Reserves Team which will keep him at the club until June 30, 2022.

The FC Bayern Munich Reserves Team gained promotion to the 3.Liga (3rd Division) at the end of the last season and they hope that Sarpreet’s addition to the squad will pay off in the forthcoming campaign.

“We have managed to sign a technically versed and very talented offensive midfielder. We are pleased that he has decided to join FC Bayern,” said Jochen Sauer, Head of the FC Bayern Campus, in a statement on the club website.

“The transfer to FC Bayern’s second team is a brilliant step for me. I look forward to play for this renowned club,” Sarpreet Singh told

Singh has represented New Zealand at junior and senior level, while he was also part of the New Zealand squad which featured in the Intercontinental Cup 2018 in India.
