In good news for the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship, the Government of India has cleared the Pakistan national football team’s participation in the upcoming SAFF Cup in Bangalore.
Confirming the news, AIFF secretary general Dr. Shaji Prabhakaran told the PTI agency, “Yes, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs and Sports Ministry all have cleared!”
This news comes after days of uncertainty, if Pakistan would get the necessary visas to participate in the SAFF Championship, which would be held from June 21 to July 4 in Bangalore.
