atletico-de-kolkata-fc-pune-cityFormer Indian Super League champions Atletico de Kolkata were held to a goalless draw by FC Pune City in ISL-3 at the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium in Kolkata on Friday evening.

The game marked the return of FC Pune City head coach Antonio Habas to Kolkata, where he had successfully coached Atletico de Kolkata for two season after his team had been eliminated from the title race before the start of the knockout stage.

Atletico de Kolkata head coach Jose Molina knowing that his side were qualified for the semifinals rested a number of regulars and gave some of the ATK youngsters a chance and they did not disappointed as the home side was the better of the two teams, but especially striker Juan Belencoso was wasteful infront of goal as he rather should have at least once from his four good scoring opportunities on the night.

The match never rose to any great heights and was played at a slow pace as Pune City was happy to mainly defend and ATK tried to score infront of their home fans.
