ISL-3: Delhi Dynamos drop points against FC Pune City in 1-1 draw!

delhi-dynamos-fc-pune-cityDelhi Dynamos needed a second half equaliser in a one-all draw against FC Pune City in a match of the Indian Super League – Season 3 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, which the Lions from the capital should have easily won if one looks at the number of chances that they had over the 90 minutes.

The Delhi Dynamos attacked from the start as FC Pune City stood deep and always were on the lookout for counter attacks. But Delhi were wasteful infront of goal or Man of the Match Edel Bete as keeper was in the way as he defused chances for Milan Singh and Richard Gadze.

And when everyone thought the match would go goalless into the break, a high and long FC Pune City cross was headed on by Jesus Tato and in looped into the net with keeper Soram Poirei Anganba and defender Anas Edathodika both left stranded as the guests took a surprise lead into the break.

The Dynamos continued to attack in the second session despite going behind as keeper Bete continued to save or clear everything that came the way of his goal, and the only mistake Bete did while coming out and gifting Marcelinho the chance of scoring into an empty net, but the Brazilian just shot wide.

In the 79th minute, the Delhi Dynamos finally had luck on their side as a Marcelinho free kick from the right was put into the far corner of the net by Milan Singh, who a few minutes earlier should have seen a red card for a dangerous late challenge on Mo Sissoko.

Towards the end both sides had chances to score a second, first a Richard Gadze shot went just wide and then following a corner Rahul Bheke’s header was palmed away by Soram Poirei Anganba as the match end in a one-all draw.
