ISL-4: Chennaiyin FC score late equaliser against Jamshedpur FC!

Former ISL champions Chennaiyin FC needed a late equaliser against newcomers Jamshedpur FC to earn a 1-1 home draw at the Marina Arena in Chennai on Sunday afternoon.

After action was mainly confined to the midfield, the guests from Jamshedpur FC went ahead in the 32nd minute. Following a free-kick, Inigo Calderon clearance with the head only went as far as Wellington Priori and the Brazilian let off a volley which went past Karanjit Singh in the goal. The Steelmen would take the 1-0 lead into the break.

After the break Chennaiyin FC had the better chances, but be it Mailson Alves, Jeje Lalpekhlua and others, the hosts couldn’t get the elusive equaliser until the 89th minute when a Rene Mihelic corner was headed in by Mohammed Rafi.
