ISL-4: Chennaiyin FC score thrilling late 3-2 win over champions ATK!

In match of ISL champions, 2015 winners Chennaiyin FC scored a thrilling late 3-2 win over defending champions ATK at the Marina Arena in Chennai on Thursday evening.

ATK were the better side going into the match with a number of chances, but towards the end of the session Chennaiyin FC slowly settled down and took control.

That continued but Chennaiyin FC had to wait until the 65th minute to take the lead when Jeje Lalpekhlua scored of a rebound following a corner.

ATK got back into the match and equalised in the 77th minute through a brilliant Zequinha strike, but only six minutes later a deflected Inigo Calderon shot saw Chennaiyin FC in the lead again.

A minute from time ATK thought they had grabbed a point as substitute Robbie Keane fed Njazi Kuqi to score of an own rebound, but at the other end Debjit Majumder cleared a Inigo Calderon shot into the path of Jeje Lalpekhlua and the India striker made no mistake to seal the win for Chennaiyin FC.

With this loss champions ATK remain bottom of the table and the crisis in Kolkata keeps growing.
