ISL-4: In a first, Jamshedpur FC lose to FC Pune City!

Jamshedpur FC suffered their first-ever Indian Super League in a 0-1 home loss to FC Pune City at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams had their chances before the guests went ahead on the half hour mark. FC Pune City had a free-kick taken by Marcelinho, which Jamshedpur FC couldn’t clear and Adil Khan volleyed the ball into the net, the first goal that Jamshedpur FC and their goalkeeper Subrata Pal had conceded in five matches.

Jamshedpur FC now went into the attack, but couldn’t get an equaliser in the remainder of the first session as FC Pune City went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

In the second sesson Pune City had the better chances to enhance their lead, but the longer the match lasted it saw more attacks from the home side. FC Pune City were reduced to ten men when left-back Lalchhuanmawia Fanai was send off in the 80th minute for a second booking. But Jamshedpur FC could note equalise in the remainder of the match and FC Pune City scored a big away win.
