ISL’s Delhi Dynamos launch their Delhi Dynamos Youth League!

delhi-dynamos-youth-leagueIndian Super League franchise Delhi Dynamos FC yesterday launched the Delhi Dynamos Youth League. Underlining their commitment towards grassroots development of the sport and making football the premier sport of Northern India, the club has associated with Delhi Youth League to announce the 2016 edition of the league. The Delhi Youth league, one of the biggest and oldest youth leagues in the capital city is all set to kick-off its fifth edition under the new name of the Delhi Dynamos Youth League 2016.

The Delhi Dynamos Youth League is scheduled from October 2, 2016 till May 14, 2017 in New Delhi and will see participation from around 70 teams from all major football academies and schools across the capital. The teams will be playing for top honours across seven different age categories namely U-7, U-9, U-11, U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19.

The Delhi Dynamos Youth League’s fifth edition will see fierce competition from some very strong representations from Baichung Bhutia Football Schools, Delhi Dynamos Performance Centre, Hindustan FC, Delhi United FC, The British School, Impact Sports Academy, My Angels Academy, Kutumb Foundation, Royal Bengal Football Club and a few others.

“The Delhi Dynamos Youth League is the first youth league being organised by Delhi Dynamos F.C. in partnership with the Delhi Youth League. The objective will be the same as all our other grassroots initiatives which is to develop and sustain football at the grassroots level in the North of India. The youth is the foundation towards the future of any sport, and we are looking to build the youth teams of the club, for which the league will be a great platform to scout and develop young footballers and find talent,” said Delhi Dynamos president Prashant Agarwal.

The league has over the past few years not only impressed the people in India but globally with Barclays Premier League pledging their support last year by endorsing the start of a football league dedicated to all girls teams in New Delhi.

It has been the objective of the league to introduce and sustain competitive youth football in the state. The ideology of the Delhi Dynamos Youth League is to not only spread awareness about the game and build a platform for youth footballers but also to expose children coming from a wide variety of backgrounds to various cultures, and economic backgrounds in order to help holistic growth of the young participants.

“We are thankful for Delhi Dynamos FC for recognising our efforts in the development of football at the grassroots level, we also share the same philosophy with the club and the association will take the league to the next level. We have achieved considerable success in the past and with Delhi Dynamos F.C. coming onboard, we strive to achieve our common dream of taking football to the youth of this region, and building dreams of young aspiring footballers.” DDYL chairman Paul Schuttenbelt said.
