The iSportconnect team has announced Alexandra Willis, Sam Seddon and David Alstadter as speakers for the upcoming Digital Fan Engagement Masterclass, on May 23, 2017. For the first time, iSportconnect will host its exclusive event on the suggestive courts of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club (AELTC), home of The Championships, Wimbledon.
Alexandra is the Head of Communications, Digital and Content for the AELTC and The Championships. She has 11 years of experience as a content and digital strategist in a variety of guises, as an editor, journalist and digital lead in the sports industry. She was named one of Sport Business International’s top 20 innovators in 2016.
Sam is the IBM Wimbledon Client and Programme Executive. He’s responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of the technical solutions that IBM provides to The Championships as part of their role as the official IT provider to the AELTC. Sam was recognised in 2015 by Information Age as being one of the UK’s top 50 data leaders and influencers.
David is the Head of Digital Platform for HSBC. His focus is on innovation across digital platforms (mobile, wearable, etc.) to create 21st century financial services in global and China markets – leveraging transformative technologies.
The format of the event will combine case studies and panel sessions. The speakers will address a broad range of topics, from the difference between users/viewers and engaged fans to the use of digital tools to convert engagement into commercial activity.
The Digital Fan Engagement Masterclass aims to provide an exclusive opportunity for top executives representing rights holders, media operators and brands to get ahead of the curve in the fast-changing digital ecosystem. As all iSportconnect events, it will be invite-only and will operate under Chatham House rules to encourage free exchange of ideas and views.
