iSportconnect, the world’s largest global private network of sports business executives, successfully hosted their second China Directors’ Club in association with World Football Forum in the stunning Wanda Visa Hotel in Changsha on Thursday, May 18.
Tony Xia Jiantong, Owner and Chairman of Aston Villa Football Club, was the featured guest for this year’s China Directors’ Club.
Michael Cunnah, Chairman of iSportconnect, said: “it was great to talk to Tony who was very open and articulate about his investment in Aston Villa. He shared his observations regarding what he has learned since entering English football, what he can do to improve Aston Villa and to help Chinese football.”
The Directors’ Club is one of a series of exclusive, invite-only iSportconnect events, consisting of board-level sports business professionals who run and finance the sports industry in major cities in the world.
The attendees spoke freely under Chatham House rules, meaning the information exchanged in the room during the event would not be taken outside of the room.
The panel was followed by a networking opportunity in a relaxed environment.
