JAKO launch new VfB Stuttgart kits with tradition & home on the heart!

Together with VfB Stuttgart, JAKO celebrate the unique identity of the boys from Cannstatt with four individual jerseys for the 2020/21 season. The jerseys are inspired by historical clothing and with their unmistakable design elements represent the home of the people of Stuttgart.

The white home shirt with diagonal stripes in jacquard structure brings the design of the playing attire from the 1987/88 season back onto the fabric. The red chest ring is placed narrower and higher this year. The place-name sign and the coordinates of the Mercedes-Benz Arena on the inner neck band point to Bad Cannstatt, the home of VfB.

The defining element of the away jersey is a stylized city map that contrasts with the black fabric. Its colours, red and white, result in a structure of horizontal stripes, which is based on the playing attire from the 1997/98 season. The location of the Mercedes-Benz Arena is positioned directly under the club’s coat of arms and thus on the heart of the wearer. As with the home jersey, the town sign and the coordinates of Bad Cannstatt are placed on the inside of the neck band.

The goalkeepers will also play in individual outfits when they return to the Bundesliga. The yellow goalkeeper jersey alludes to the colours of the FV Stuttgart 1893 and the Kronenklub Cannstatt. The print on the fabric is based on the coats of arms of the founding clubs of VfB and the structure of the sleeve cuffs is based on the binding of the first VfB statutes. The purple jersey forms the counterpart to the black away jersey of the field players with a city map and uniform colours.
