Jammu & Kashmir’s SFA completes one year, celebrates first anniversary with fervour!

State Football Academy (SFA) of Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council (JKSSC) celebrated its first anniversary on Thursday, June 7 at TRC Ground in Srinagar.

On the occasion, Minister for Roads and Buildings, Naeem Akthar was the chief guest and interacted with the SFA players comprising of both boys and girls of 22 districts who were donning variant and colourful jerseys. Secretary Sports Council and CEO SFA, Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para was the guest of honour on the occasion. The anniversary was also graced by the International Footballer and SFA In-Charge Mehrajuddin Wadoo, SFA Technical Director Sajid Dar, SFA Executive Officer Majid Yousuf besides coaches and in-charges of 22 districts and technical crew of SFA.

While addressing the gathering of almost 2,000 players besides SFA crew, Nayeem Akhtar hailed the achievements of SFA besides of Secretary Sports for such ground breaking project.

He also announced Rs 500,000 (5 lakhs) package for SFA and its district units for its further progress and development.

“It’s a huge achievement and SFA has succeeded to set its footprints in the field of football. That day is not so far when the people would be chanting State Football Academy’s name,” he said.

SFA CEO Waheed-Ur-Rehman Para congratulated the whole SFA team besides players for making this initiative successful.

The event was organized by State Football Academy in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir State Sports Council.
