Jamshedpur FC comeback to draw Chennaiyin FC 2-2!

In a riveting clash at The Furnace, Jamshedpur FC faced off against Chennaiyin FC, and the electric atmosphere of the Jamshedpur Stadium was witness to a thrilling encounter that culminated in a 2-2 draw.

The first half kicked off with high expectations, but Chennaiyin FC took an early lead in the 9th minute when Farukh Choudhary found the back of the net with a powerful header, assisted by Rafael Crivellaro from a well-executed corner. Despite valiant efforts from Jamshedpur, including attempts from Alen Stevanovic and Seiminlen Doungel, they found themselves trailing 2-0 at 45 minutes.

Just before the half-time whistle, Pachuau Laldinpuia answered the call, scoring a crucial header after a brilliantly delivered corner, cutting Chennaiyin FC’s lead to 2-1.

As the second half commenced, Jamshedpur FC displayed commendable resilience and determination. They intensified their attacks, and the relentless efforts paid off in the 90th minute, Daniel Chima Chukwu soared above the defence to connect with a precise cross from Nikhil Barla, securing an exhilarating equalizer and sending the home crowd into a frenzy.

The Jamshedpur FC faithful were left jubilant as the final whistle blew, signalling a well-deserved draw after going two goals down initially.

The attention for Jamshedpur FC now shifts to the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, where the Men of Steel will face Bengaluru FC on December 16.
