Jamshedpur FC geared up for final Super Cup group game against Gokulam Kerala FC!

Jamshedpur FC registered another massive win in the group stage to make it two wins in a row as they beat the ISL Champions ATK Mohun Bagan in the second fixture by a score of 3-0 which confirmed their spot in the semifinals. With this, Jamshedpur FC became the first team to make their way into the knockout stages of the Super Cup.

Now the Jamshedpur side will head into their final group stage fixture against I-League side, Gokulam Kerala FC.

When asked about the team‘s strategy in the upcoming game after confirming a spot in the semis, the Gaffer opined – “We’ll always go for victory in every single game. In my opinion, I don’t want the season and this tournament to end. We just want to keep playing and continue winning.”

Both teams have had their fair share of successes in the past as both sides were the champions of their own leagues in the previous season which makes this clash a highly anticipated one.

“There are a few players with niggles and knocks from the previous games. But we’ll pick a team that really deserves to be picked from the players who haven’t been starting lately but have kept constantly supported from the sidelines”, said Aidy on the team selection for the upcoming game against the Kerala-based side.

Jamshedpur FC’s young attacking force combined with the experienced-filled midfield will be key to their success, as they look to break down Gokulam Kerala’s defence.

While Jamshedpur FC will be aiming to close the group stage with a 100% win rate and make it 3 wins in a row, Gokulam Kerala FC will be looking to shell out points before they end their campaign.

To conclude the interview, the boss said, “We have to make sure that we not only give our opponents respect but we have to make sure we have a good go at them and get a positive result.“

Watch Jamshedpur FC take on Gokulam Kerala FC on Tuesday, April 18 live on Fancode and Sony Sports 2.
