Jamshedpur FC go down 1-2 to Sreenidi Deccan FC in friendly!

Jamshedpur FC fell to a 1-2 defeat at the hands of Sreenidi Deccan FC in their second pre-season match at the Deccan Arena in Hyderabad ahead of the new Indian Super League campaign.

Goals from Kean Lewis in the 40th minute and Ibrahim Sissoko in the 65th minute gave Sreenidi Deccan the victory in Hyderabad, but not before the Men of Steel actually took the lead via a goal from Imran Khan.

The new signing scored the opening goal of the game after some terrific work by Komal Thatal who beat a few defenders including his former teammate Eli Sabia with his speed before setting up a delicious pass for Imran to open the scoring.

Sreenidi Deccan did much of the chasing of the ball in the first half as Jamshedpur FC mounted several attacks, but the equaliser came towards the end of the first period as Kean Lewis managed to squeeze his shot into the back of the net.

Following some half-time changes, Ritwik Das managed a few opportunities for Jamshedpur FC in front of goal, using his dribbling skills to manufacture shots on goal, and he was supported by the creativity and guile of Alen Stevanovic. Young Mohammed Sanan also impressed during the game and enjoyed another productive outing at his new club.

Despite the winner coming via Ibrahim Sissoko for Sreenidi Deccan, the final result does show some positives for Jamshedpur FC in terms of performance, who were also leading in their first pre-season match against Gokulam Kerala FC before incessant rain brought an end to proceedings.

The Men of Steel will be back in action with their next pre-season match against Bengaluru FC on September 1 at the Deccan Arena.
