Jamshedpur FC head coach Aidy Boothroyd pays visit to Samvaad 2022!

Jamshedpur FC head coach Aidy Boothroyd along with his wife Emma Boothroyd attended day one of Samvaad 2022, a tribal conclave featuring more than 2,500 people from 186 all across India.

The four-day event, hosted by Tata Steel Foundation, was opened to public viewing following an extravagant opening ceremony to launch the 9th edition of Samvaad, and saw representation from 32 tribes along with participation from tribals from countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Laos, Zambia and Uganda.

The event featured the best from tribes across the country, with over 41 art forms represented in Tribal Arts and Handicrafts via stalls for public viewing. More than 175 tribal healers were also present to help reinstate the value of tribal practices of healing and treatment in the modern era.

More than 101 tribal recipes were prepared by 112 home cooks and served to the Jamshedpur public via stalls and online food delivery applications.

Coach Aidy Boothroyd was in attendance for the grand event and expressed his support towards the organisers of Samvaad.

“It was such a pleasure to be a part of the Samvaad event in front of the great people of Jamshedpur. I was blown away by the level of effort put in by the various tribes across India and bought some of my own souvenirs from the stalls.

“I consider myself very fortunate to have witnessed this glorious event and on behalf of Jamshedpur FC I extend my heartfelt gratitude towards the organisers of Samvaad 2022.”

Jamshedpur FC congratulates the entire team responsible for the organisation of Samvaad 2022 and wishes them the best for all the remaining days of the event.
