Jamshedpur FC looks to bag full points against NorthEast United FC!

With the hunt for the first win in the Indian Super League 2022-23 still on Jamshedpur FC is back home to face NorthEast United FC.

The Aidy Boothroyd managed side went toe-to-toe against Mumbai City FC in their last game as they held their ground well bringing one point back home against a strong Mumbai side after the tight encounter ended in a draw.

As the squad gears up to get back in action on the home turf, they will play their second home game of the season at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

In the previous season, the Highlanders did not have their desired campaign. Despite qualifying for the playoffs in the earlier season with a stunning performance, the Highlanders could not repeat the same success. Asthey finished 10th on the league table in the 2021-22 season.

Jamshedpur FC gaffer Aidy Boothroyd when asked about facing NorthEast United at the Furnace, stated, “QUOTE”.

The two sides have faced each other 10 times previously in the ISL. Out of which Jamshedpur has won 4 games and 5 of the duels ended with a draw. Jamshedpur has always been the dominant side in the previous meets. Last season, both games ended with a 3-2 full time score which saw the Men of Steel snatch full points oints in the dying moments of the game.

Currently, both the squads lie at the bottom of the table as neither of the two has registered a win yet. While Jamshedpur FC sits at the 10th position on the league table, NorthEast United FC are at the bottom with losses in all of their first three games.

As the two sides go head-to-head for the eleventh time, the Jamshedpur FC squad will step onto the pitch with only one aim, to win their first game of the season. Which will propel them up the league table and help them build a winning momentum going forward.

Watch Jamshedpur FC host NorthEast United FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Sunday, October 30 at 7:30pm.
