Indian Super League franchise Jamshedpur FC has completed their quota of foreigners today with the signing of Mario Arques Blasco. The Spanish midfielder is a Villarreal CF Academy product with over seven-years of experience in Spain.
The 26-year-old previously played CD Alcoyano and had stints at CF Valencia and Sporting de Gijon B-teams.
On signing with Jamshedpur FC, the midfielder said, “It’s amazing to sign with a club of Jamshedpur FC’s stature.”
“Indian Super League is one of the biggest leagues in Asia and it’s an honour to be playing there.”
“I am very happy to start training with my teammates and enjoy my time here. I want to play here with my heart and passion. I hope to do my best.”
Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari added, “I am delighted to welcome Mario into the squad. His experience will be valuable for our midfield. I am excited to see him pair up with Memo and add more solidity to our defense line. On behalf of the Tata Group I welcome Mario to Jamshedpur.”
Jamshedpur FC head coach Cesar Ferrando said, “I like Mario’ s attributes as a player. He will fit very well into the system and will be an asset to the squad. I am glad he has decided to join us and I am looking forward to working with him.”
Mario has joined the squad for pre-season training in Madrid as the club continues to prepare for the 2018/19 Indian Super League.
