Teams from Loyola School roared to victory against Carmel Junior College and Jamshedpur Public School (JPS) in Week 6 of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League, winning two matches 11-0 in the U-9 and U-13 categories.
The victorious teams from the school were Loyola Power Rangers in the U-9 category and Loyola Soccer School Jamshedpur in the U13 category.
The second edition of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League 2023, hosted by Jamshedpur FC in conjunction with Jharkhand Football Association (JFA) and Jharkhand Sporting Association (JSA) has been divided into U-5, U-7, U-9, U-11 and U-13 categories for the benefit of kids across the city.
The 10-month long tournament will be held every Sunday morning at the Archery ground at JRD Tata Sports Complex to nurture development and add to the existing grassroots schools program run by the club during the week after school hours.
Week 6 saw the highest attendance yet at the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League 2023, with a total of 121 students participating, beating the 115 from last week at the tournament.
The U9 category saw the highest number this week, with 29 students participating, while 23 students took part in the U-5 category, 28 in the U-7s, 20 in the U-11s and 21 students in the U-13 category.
The U-5s played four matches, U-7s played three matches, two matches were played by the U-9s, while one each was played in the U-11s and U-13s.
