Jens Lehmann & Marc Kosicke suggested to join Hertha BSC supervisory board!

As a representative in the Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA supervisory board, which is made up of nine members, TENNOR Holding B.V. has named former Germany international Jens Lehmann and Marc Kosicke, the founder and CEO of the agency Projekt b and an advisor to football coaches and executives, as candidates to fill two vacant positions on the board. The two will will be confirmed to the position at the supervisory board’s next meeting. “We welcome TENNOR’s suggestion of who should fill these two positions on the supervisory board. These will need to be confirmed at the next meeting of the Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA supervisory board, and we are looking forward to working together,” said Dr. Karl Kauermann, the chairman of the Hertha BSC GmbH & Co. KGaA supervisory board.

Lars Windhorst, the chairman of TENNOR Holding B.V., which holds a 49.9 per cent stake in Hertha GmbH and Co. KGaA: “I am very pleased that Jens Lehmann and Marc Kosicke will be involved at Hertha. Both bring an immense amount of experience and professionalism to the table. They will help both TENNOR and Hertha achieve its goals and will assist in guiding the club to a successful future.” Michael Preetz, sporting director at Hertha BSC added, “We maintain a regular exchange with Lars Windhorst and have been informed about this process. We extend a warm welcome to both as they take on their new role at Hertha BSC.”

During his active career, Jens Lehmann played for several teams, both in the Bundelsliga and abroad. The goalkeeper also spent several years with the German national team. “The offer from Lars Windhorst to be able to play a part in Hertha BSC’s future development was something that I was happy to accept. I see this as one of the most interesting projects in football at the moment,” said the 51-year-old.

Marc Kosicke is the founder and CEO of the agency Projekt b, and has also served for several years as an advisor to various successful coaches, including Ralf Rangnick, Jürgen Klopp and Julian Nagelsmann. His other previous roles include 15 years at sporting goods manufacturers Adidas and Nike. “I’m very pleased with the responsibility Lars Windhorst and TENNOR have placed on me. With my experience in the business of football, I’m happy to play my part in helping Hertha achieve the goals both the club and Lars Windhorst have set,” Kosicke said with an eye on his new role.
