Justice for Mohammedan Forum, former players aim to bring democracy back to the club!

The flames of the movement led by Ex-General Secretary Sheikh Wasim Akram a couple of months ago, demanding transparency in the Mohammedan Sporting Club administration, has turned into a blaze today.

The sky has been cloudy since the morning, as if nature is also involved in the silent protest against the ongoing dictatorship in the Mohammedan Sporting. It started raining profusely since afternoon, but today nothing could stop a group of Mohammedan Sporting fanatics at home like Rahim Ali, Asadur Rahman, Maksud Alam Mollah, Mostakin Sheikh, Haji Naushad, Mohammed Nasim and Shabbir Warsi.

Some of them live in Baruipur, some in Barasat, some in Khidirpur. Ignoring the bad weather, they all came together with a pledge to free their beloved Mohammedan Sporting from the curse of familism and bring it back to democracy. This commitment has created a forum called Justice for Mohammedan, where love and passion for Mohammedan Sporting Club is the last word, not the individual.

Justice for Mohammedan is not just a demand of Mohammedan Sporting supporters, it is a demand of time. Nasir Ahmed, Nasim Akhtar, Hussain Mustafi, Humayun Gilani and many other well-known former footballers have joined this movement. Their only purpose is to contribute to the establishment of democracy in the Club for which they have shed blood and sweat.

And Wasim Akram, who started this movement, is probably the happiest person today. The famous song of Kaviguru Rabindranath Tagore – If no one comes to hear your call, let’s go alone. Wasim started this unequal fight alone but many people have heard his call, and joined this movement through the Justice for Mohammedan Forum.
