Justin Diehl signs for VfB Stuttgart!

Justin Diehl has become VfB Stuttgart’s latest signing for the 2024/25 campaign. The 19-year-old attacker joins from 1.FC Köln, where he came through the youth ranks and made nine Bundesliga appearances. Diehl scored 12 goals in 19 games for 1.FC Köln II in the Regionalliga West, and won the U19 cup with the club in 2023.

Diehl has also played 19 games for Germany’s youth national teams, including four for the U20s. The winger has signed a contract at VfB until June 30, 2029.

VfB Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth said, “Justin Diehl is one of the most exciting players in his position in Germany. He took his first steps in the Bundesliga last season, and now we want to develop his skills further at VfB. We’re happy that Justin has chosen VfB.”

Justin Diehl said, “1. FC Köln was my sporting home for many years. I want to thank everyone who was involved in my development and supported me along the way. A new chapter in my career begins for me now with the transfer to VfB Stuttgart. Following the talks with the management, it quickly became clear to me that VfB is the right club for me. I’m already looking forward to getting started in pre-season and getting to know my new teammates.”
