Keeper Michael Langer signs a one-year Schalke 04 contract extension!

FC Schalke 04 have extended goalkeeper Michael Langer’s contract until June 30, 2024. The 38-year-old will now therefore go into his seventh season with the club.

“Last season once again showed how Michael supports the team and how important he is. He is a true professional in every situation,” said sporting director André Hechelmann. “He possesses lots of experience and knows what to expect as we look to win promotion back to the Bundesliga. He will be an important figure for our younger players.”

“Michael gives his best in every training session and always look to improve,” commented head coach Thomas Reis. “He’s an important part of our goalkeeping team, he looks out for his teammates and is also always a friendly ear. I’m really pleased that he’s staying at the club and I will continue to have him in my squad.”
