Kerala Blasters announce signing teenage midfielder Jeakson Singh!

Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters today officially announced the signing of teenage India junior international midfielder Jeakson Singh Thounaojam.

17 year old Haokha Mamang Village in Manipur’s Thoubal District Jeakson Singh Thounaojam started his football locally in Manipur before moving to Minerva Punjab FC, where he played in their youth teams before picked-up by the AIFF set-up to play for the India youth teams ahead of the 2017 FIFA U-17 Word Cup.

Jeakson then became a household name as he scored India’s first and only FIFA World Cup goal so far in the FIFA U-17 World Cup against Colombia in New Delhi on October 9, 2017.

Last season Jeakson was on loan from Minerva Punjab FC with the Indian Arrows, now he signs for the Blasters but would spend the 2018/19 season on loan with the Indian Arrows in the I-League.

The Kerala Blasters by signing Jeakson has signed the second India U-17 youngster after goalkeeper Dheeraj Singh.
