Indian Super League franchise Kerala Blasters have announced the signing of Argentinian striker Jorge Pereyra Diaz on loan from Primera División club Platense ahead of the 2021/22 season.
31 year old La Rioja-born Jorge Rolando Pereyra Díaz played at youth level for Club Ferro Carril Oeste, where he also made his senior debut.
Thereafter Jorge Pereyra Diaz played for CA Lanus before playing for Malaysia’s Johor Darul Ta’zim FC. He then played for CA Independiente back in Argentina on loan before returning for a second spell at Johor. He then went on loan to Mexico’s Club León FC before a third Johor stint.
Jorge Pereyra Diaz then returned for a second stint with CA Lanus before playing for Bolivia’s Bolívar La Paz, CD San Marcos de Arica in Chile before returning to his native Argentina to play for CA Platense.
Now they loan him to the Kerala Blasters, who hope that he can deliver the goods for the Blasters in ISL-8.
“I am glad to join Kerala Blasters and am equally thankful to the management for giving me this opportunity. I am looking forward to representing the team and experiencing the energy of the yellow army in the upcoming season. I promise to always give my best,” said Jorge Pereyra.
Kerala Blasters sporting director Karolis Skinkys said, “We are proud and happy to have a good player like Jorge Pereyra in our team. I would like to congratulate him on joining Kerala Blasters. We are waiting for some solid performances from him and hope he will fulfill his potential.”
