Khelo India U-17 Girl’s Football League kicks off in Mizoram!

The all girl football competition Khelo India U-17 Girls Football League 2022-23 was kicked off on Tuesday, October 11 morning at High Field Macdonald Hill, Zarkawt in Aizawl.

Revered Indian striker Jeje Lalpekhlua kicked off the league applauding the Mizoram Football Association for being among those who take the initiative to launch the Khelo India U-17 Girls Football League. He also expressed his hope that the league will prove to a be a stepping stone for young Mizo girls in Indian football.

MFA Women’s Committee vice chairmain Lalengvari stated at the kickoff that the Khelo India U-17 Girls league is a project undertaken by the central government and the AIFF with the objective of women’s football development. She also stated that Mizoram is one among the numerous cities in which will have a Khelo India Girls League.

Six schools will take part in the Khelo India U-17 Girls Football League in Mizoram – Govt Mizo HS, Govt Central HS, Govt JL HS, Govt Hrangchhuana HS, Govt Aizawl East HS and Kids Care School.

The six teams will play a round robin after which the top will contest the final.

Prizes

Champion : Rs 50,000/-

Runners-Up : Rs 30,000/-

Match Money : Rs 2,000/- per match
