LaLiga investigation finds no racism in Cádiz CF vs FC Valencia case!

LaLiga has informed the clubs involved and the corresponding authorities of the results from the investigations that were carried out in order to resolve what happened between the Cádiz CF and Valencia CF players on the last matchday.

Following an analysis of the incident, it has been concluded that no evidence has been found from any of the material available to LaLiga that the player Juan Torres Ruiz (Juan Cala) insulted Mouctar Diakhaby in the manner of which the latter expressed.

The examination and analysis specifically covered available audio visual and digital files, the audio recording from the match, the footage broadcasted and what was posted on several social media networks.

In order to complement the report, a company specialising in lip-reading services was called upon to analyse the conversations between Juan Torres Ruiz and Mouctar Diakhaby and to study their behaviour.

LaLiga has shared these reports with the clubs involved and the corresponding authorities, with the purposes of them forming part of the disciplinary action that is currently underway.

LaLiga reiterates its condemnation against racism in all of its forms and maintains its commitment to ceaselessly fighting against any manifestation of this type, which has led to numerous cases of individuals reporting hate crimes, including a private accusation, in previous proceedings.

LaLiga and all of its clubs will continue to work across the board with all representative bodies in football in order to do everything necessary to protect the values of equality and respect that prevail in our Spanish professional football competition.
