Lucas Michal signs his first professional AS Monaco contract!

AS Monaco have announced the signing of Lucas Michal’s first professional contract. The Academy-trained striker has signed a contract with the club through June 2026.

Although he won’t turn 18 until June 22 Lucas Michal has already had a rich career with the Academy, which he has been a part of since the summer of 2020. The native of Ivry-sur-Seine, in Val-de-Marne, began his career at US Ivry before playing for Paris FC and US Torcy.

The young striker also spent time at the Pôle Espoirs de Reims before coming to the Principality. A recent winner of the Coupe Gambardella with the U18s coached by Frédéric Barilaro and Manu Dos Santos, Lucas Michal contributed in a big way to this success, AS Monaco’s fifth in the competition, taking part in six of the seven games played.

A goalscorer in the Round of 64 against Aubagne (4-1) then in the next round against Nancy (3-0), he also had an assist in the final against Clermont Foot (4-2). These performances have allowed him to join the Elite Group and participate in the Monegasque victory against Olympique Lyonnais (3-2) this Saturday.

A starter in this match, Lucas Michal even won a penalty, converted by his teammate Enzo Baglieri. First called up with the French U-16s, he also has 9 caps with the France U-17s (1 goal, 1 assist).
