The Macron Hero will appear on the shirts of FC Cartagena, the Spanish club that plays in the Segunda División, for the next four seasons. The club was only formed in 1995 but soon became a leading name in football in Spain’s autonomous region of Murcia.
The new agreement with FC Cartagena covers the supply of technical wear for the first team, youth team, women’s teams, and teams from the other sports associated with the Spanish club (volleyball, basketball, e-sports and rhythmic gymnastics). Though still a relatively young club, FC Cartagena achieved excellent results in the first half of the 2000s and the ‘Albinegros’ have come tantalisingly close to promotion to the Liga.
As a result of the new agreement, FC Cartagena kits for next season will be presented in June. The new match day kits will feature top-quality, high-tech fabrics, and innovative custom designs expressing the club’s identity, symbols and sporting ambitions.
Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron, explains: “It’s always exciting to start working with a club like FC Cartagena who represent a very large community and have ambitious plans for the future. We are delighted to support the ambitions of FC Cartagena with technically advanced, top-quality products and we are sure that players and supporters alike will appreciate the designs and graphics we look forward to creating for them.”
Francisco Belmonte Ortiz, president of FC Cartagena, explains: “For Fútbol Club Cartagena SAD it is an honour to start working with Macron, one of the world’s leading brands in the sector. The alliance between Macron and FC Cartagena is the union between two brands that are constantly growing and that, for sure, will be beneficial for both entities as well as for the fans of the Club. It will be a privilege for FC Cartagena, its youth and sports sections to wear Macron from next season onwards.”
