Legendary Mizo footballer S Malsawmtluanga (Mama) has resigned as head coach of Mizoram Premier League side Chanmari FC on Sunday for unknown reasons.
Chanmari FC president Zothantluanga said, “It’s a sad day for Chanmari FC as it was an big honour and privilege to work with Mama. We thank Mama for his services during his short stint here and sincerely wish the best for his future endeavour!”
The Mizoram Premier League – Season 8 is only five rounds old with former MPL champions Chanmari FC being fourth in the table with eight points, just a point behind the top three teams.
