Struggling English Premier League giants Manchester United have fired their Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho today after what has been another difficult season so far.
The club in a statement said, “Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.
The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.
A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”
After the departure of highly successful Alex Ferguson, Manchester United have been looking for the manager to take them to the next level. Mourinho is now the third manager after David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, who have failed to bring the old glory back to Old Trafford and the caretaker manager will have a tough mission on hand to salvage something from the ongoing season.
