Max Brüll signs pro deal with Borussia Mönchengladbach!

Borussia Mönchengladbach have handed 20-year-old youth team goalkeeper Max Brüll a professional contract.

“Max has been with us since U-14 level and has consistently progressed. We’re very happy that we can continue this development together, which will see Max get more game time with the U-23s,” said Mirko Sandmöller, director of the youth academy.

“I’m delighted to have extended my contract at Borussia, such a big club and one I’ve been able to represent for almost eight years. I feel very much at home here and am looking forward to being able to take my next steps here,” said Brüll.

The 1.87-metre-tall goalkeeper arrived at the FohlenStall as a 13-year-old in 2015 and has worked his way through the club’s youth teams. Brüll got his first action at senior level in 2020/21 for Borussia’s U-23s in the Regionalliga West. He has since featured 23 times for the team, keeping five clean sheets.

The 20-year-old has made 18 appearances in the Regionalliga West this season, keeping the opponents at bay in four of those games, and therefore playing a significant role in the U-23s’ successful campaign, which sees them sitting second on 65 points, three clear of third place with one game to go.

Brüll was also part of the first-team squad on matchday 15 in the current Bundesliga season, taking a place on the bench against Borussia Dortmund.
