Max Eberl’s employment as sporting director of RB Leipzig officially began today on December 1, two weeks earlier than initially planned.
This morning, the 49-year-old met with head coach Marco Rose. He then held a short exchange with Florian Scholz, commercial director (sport), before settling into his new office at the RBL academy, which features a view of the training ground. Eberl introduced himself to employees of the club and academy, before meeting with the team and staff.
On Friday, all club employees will meet at the Red Bull Arena for a town hall meeting at which lunch will be served.
He completes the club management team, together with Florian Hopp and Johann Plenge.
