Max Herwerth signs long-term VfB Stuttgart deal!

The FIFA U-17 World Cup winner Max Herwerth has signed a long-term contract extension with VfB Stuttgart. The U-19 player, who helped the Germany U-17s lift the trophy in Indonesia last year, has already featured for Sebastian Hoeneß’s first team in friendlies against SV Wehen Wiesbaden and SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

VfB Stuttgart youth academy director Stephan Hildebrandt said, “We’re pleased that Max has chosen the path we’ve laid out for him and that we’re set to continue working together for a long time. He has an exciting array of physical and technical skills, which we need to keep developing in order to gradually introduce him to the demands of professional football.”

Max Herwerth said, “VfB offer young players ideal conditions to continue their development. I’d like to thank the management for the trust they’ve placed in me by extending my contract. I’ll keep working hard every day to improve, one step at a time.”
