Midfielder Jagpreet Singh is back at Minerva Punjab FC!

Defending I-League champions Minerva Punjab FC have announced the return of Punjabi midfielder Jagpreet Singh for the 2018/19 season.

Jagpreet is no stranger to the Mohali-based club as he previously featured for the Warriors in their first ever Second Division League campaign playing a vital role in the centre of the park, helping them emerge runners-up loosing to five time I-League champions Dempo SC on the final day.

Jagpreet brings along loads of experience as he also previously featured for Churchill Brothers, East Bengal Club, Mohammedan Sporting Club and LoneStar Kashmir FC. The commanding central midfielder polished his skills at the prestigious JCT Football Academy representing them in Junior and Senior Tournaments for four seasons before heading to Goa.

On being asked what brought him back to Minerva Punjab FC, Jagpreet was quick to say, “Minerva Punjab FC is like a family I don’t need to think much before deciding to come here, Club’s Owner Ranjit Bajaj has been an elder brother to be so it was a very easy decision to head back and represent my Club from Punjab on the national level.”

On being asked about the his goal for the upcoming season Jagpreet said, “I’m well aware of the expectations and there is no looking back, We are confident of defending our title and there is no doubt because we have a very good team & in a very good shape, there is a healthy competition in the Squad and all are aware of what this season means to each one of us.”

Jagpreet ended up saying, “I am going to do my best this season, Defending the title is not just my aim but also impressing the National Team coach,” as the Punjabi lad is determined to put up a good show and help his team retain the title along with impressing India coach Stephen Constantine to make his way back into the Indian National Football Team.
