Miroslav Klose has been relieved of his coaching duties by Austrian Bundesliga side SCR Altach with immediate effect. Assistant coach Slaven Skeledzic, who came to Altach together with Klose in the summer of 2022, has also been released.
This decision is the result of a comprehensive analysis of the preliminary round in the Austrian Bundesliga, which SCR Altach finished last in the table.
The SCR Altach will present a successor in the course of the week.
Christoph Längle, Managing Director, said, “Miroslav Klose gave everything from the first to the last day and it was a huge experience to have experienced him as a coach and above all as a person in Altach. I would like to thank Miro and his assistant coach Slaven Skeledzic for their work. Even if a change of coach always hurts enormously, SCR Altach is also represented in the Bundesliga in the 2023/24 season.”
Georg Festetics, Sports Director, said, “In the course of our analysis, we came to the conclusion that the team needs a new impetus in order to achieve our goal of retaining the league, to which we subordinate everything else. Miroslav has all the prerequisites to celebrate great success as a coach.
