Mizoram Premier League-6: Comeback victory for Ramhlun North FC over Dinthar FC!

Ramhlun North FC displayed their fighting spirit last night as they saw off Dinthar FC’s challenge in 2-1 victory to grab all three points. After two matches, Ramhlun North are now on four points, where as Dinthar failed to get a point so far.

Both teams fought right from the off but it was Dinthar FC, unfortunate in their loss in the first round, who struck first on the 15th minute. R. Lalthantluanga got on the end of a freekick delivered by Joseph to give his side the lead.

Dinthar FC got the better of the opening stages and came close to doubling their lead on a few occasions. Ramhlun North FC fought back and Liberian midfielder Harry missed a good chance to level the match for his side.

They got their equaliser three minutes before the break when Dinthar FC’s defender Malsawma Chhangte inadvertently put the ball in his own net from a Ramdina delivery.

Ramhlun North FC controlled proceedings after the restart and scored what would be their winner on the 57th minute when Rosangliana pounced on a rebound after Dinthar FC’s goalkeeper Mala had failed to safely parry Lalrinfela’s freekick.

Dinthar FC almost found an equaliser late on by striking the post in a late charge but ultimately could not find the net for their first point of the season.

Ramhlun North FC midfielder Lalramzauva was named man of the match for his efforts.

Ramhlun North FC will play Chanmari West FC next week while Dinthar FC will face Bethlehem Vengthlang FC.
