Mizoram Premier League: Rampant Mizoram Police seal semifinal spot, while Dinthar FC face relegation!

Mizoram Police FC completed a full turnaround of their fortunes as they sealed a place in the semifinals of MPL6 with one game to spare.

A 6-1 rout of bottom struggling former champions Dinthar FC ensured that Mizoram Police, who were bottom of the table with one point after round 5, will go into the last 4 of MPL6.

The result means Dinthar FC still find themselves in the relegation playoff spot with a victory in the last round of MPL6.

F. Lalrinpuia opened the scoring for Mizoram Police FC in the 4th minute finishing off some brilliant work from Lalfakzuala.

Dinthar FC equalised in the 15th minute with Samuel Laltlanthanga netting a brilliant free-kick.

Mizoram Police FC managed to score three in the space of four minutes right before half-time as Lalfakzuala scored on the 42nd and 45th minute and F. Lalrinpuia grabbed his second in stoppage time.

Mizoram Police were rampant at the start of the second half as Lalfakzuala grabbed his hattrick and Lalbiakhlua scored their sixth in the 54th minute.

Ramliana, Lalthantluanga and Saihmingthanga all had opportunities for Dinthar FC but the first ever MPL champions were ultimately outclassed for 90 minutes.

Hattrick hero Lalfakzuala was named man of the match.
